Ukrainian Para Swimmers Shine at World Championships

The Ukrainian para swimming team emerged as the leader in total medals at the recently concluded World Championship in Singapore. Our athletes secured 49 medals, including 16 gold, 16 silver, and 17 bronze. However, in terms of gold medals, Ukraine fell behind Italy, the USA, and China, finishing in fourth place in the overall medal standings.

Andrii Trusov became a four-time world champion, winning all his races and setting two world championship records: 100 meters freestyle, class S7 in 59.90 seconds, and 50 meters freestyle, class S7 in 26.72 seconds. Overall, Ukrainian athletes set four world records and three European records during the event in Singapore.
