Ukrainian fencer Vlada Kharkova clinched gold at the CISM World Championship held in Seville, Spain.
This was confirmed by the Ukrainian Fencing Federation.
On September 20, the finals took place where Kharkova faced Swiss athlete Angeline Favre.
The bronze medalist of the 2024 European Championship attempted to challenge the 28-year-old Ukrainian, but to no avail – Vlada secured a decisive victory with a score of 15:9, becoming the world champion.
This gold medal marks Kharkova's second in her career. She previously won her debut world championship title in July at a tournament in Georgia.
In total, the Ukrainian team concluded the CISM World Championship 2025 with five medals (two golds, one silver, two bronzes).
