Young Ukrainian midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has made a move from FC Shakhtar Donetsk to Portuguese giants Benfica.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian team, the clubs have finalized the transfer details, and the player has signed a contract with his new club.
Sudakov has been part of Shakhtar's academy since 2017 and made his first-team debut in 2020 during a Champions League match against Real Madrid, quickly becoming a key player.
During his tenure with the team, he played 148 matches, scoring 35 goals and providing 26 assists. He won a total of 5 trophies with Shakhtar, including two Ukrainian championships (2023, 2024), two Ukrainian Cups (2024, 2025), and one Super Cup (2021). He was also named the best player of the UPL for the 2023/2024 season.
It is worth mentioning that his national team colleague, goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, is already playing for Benfica.
