At the World Games, Ukrainian athletes Andriy Kucherenko and Vladislav Rudnev showcased remarkable performances, overcoming their Russian competitors in the final sambo matches.

Kucherenko, competing in the 71 kg category, started his bout against Roland Zinnatov with a powerful knockdown. He quickly took the lead at 6:0, successfully defending against attacks from his opponent. Zinnatov managed to score only one point.

With a decisive win, Kucherenko earned a gold medal and celebrated his victory with a traditional hopak dance.

Vladislav Rudnev also made an impact by defeating another Russian athlete, Abgaran Ovanesyan, in the 79 kg weight category.

The final score was 3:0 in favor of the Ukrainian, who, like Kucherenko, performed the hopak after his win.

Next up for gold is Andriy Davidenko, who will also face a Russian athlete.
