The European Team Chess Championship for boys and girls was held in Slovenia, featuring two age categories: under 12 and under 18.

Ultimately, the Ukrainian girls secured two silver medals. The boys' team displayed strong performance, finishing fifth in both categories.

In the under-12 competition, Ukraine was represented by Solomiya Svitenco and Yana Marusin, while Sofia Moskaleць and Yana Toropceva competed in the under-18 category.

It is noteworthy that the winners in both girls' categories were from Poland. Among boys, Polish players won in U-18, while Romania triumphed in U-12.

Interestingly, these medals marked Ukraine's first success at children’s classical competitions since 2016.
