WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) has expressed his view on the best boxer in the world.
This information is reported by The Ring.
Usyk believes that he is not the best, but that title belongs to Terence Crawford. The 37-year-old American was the undisputed world champion in the welterweight division (2023) and has held WBO, WBC, WBA-Super, and IBF titles throughout his career.
In 2023-2024, Crawford was recognized as the best boxer in the world regardless of weight class by The Ring.
On September 13, Crawford will face Saul Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, and a special The Ring belt will be on the line.
As for Usyk, he will meet Daniel Dubois at Wembley on July 19. Their first encounter took place on August 26, 2023, in Wroclaw, where Usyk won by technical knockout in the 9th round.
Crawford has previously named one of the Ukrainian boxers as one of the "elite" fighters.
