The Ukrainian women's volleyball team celebrates its victory over Hungary in the final match of the Golden Euroleague-2025.

Golden Euroleague, Women
Final, June 29
Ukraine – Hungary 3:1 (25:16, 23:25, 25:15, 25:17)
In the semifinals, the Ukrainians easily defeated Sweden, not dropping a single set. Hungary, on the other hand, overcame Romania in five sets.
It is worth noting that winning the Golden Euroleague does not guarantee a direct entry for the Ukrainian team into the Nations League.
To qualify for the NL, they need to secure the highest position in the ranking among those who are not currently participating in the tournament, and the Ukrainian national team will compete for this spot with Argentina and Puerto Rico.
This final marked the third for Ukraine in the history of the Golden Euroleague and their third victory. Previous wins occurred in 2017 and 2023.
As a reminder, at the end of January, the women's team appointed a new head coach. The 39-year-old Polish specialist Jakub Głuszak took charge, having previously coached the Polish club Tauron League's "Radomka" from Radom.
