Ukrainian canoeist Lyudmyla Luzan made headlines at the 2025 European Championship held in the Czech Republic by clinching a gold medal on the final day of competition.
At the age of 28, Luzan triumphed in the women's single canoe event over a distance of 500 meters.
She surpassed Hungary's Rea Opavski and Spain's Maria Corbera in the race.
