Ukrainian climber Yaroslav Tkach achieved a remarkable victory by winning the gold medal at the European Cup in speed climbing held in Zakopane, Poland, and simultaneously set a new record for Europe and Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

In the final, Tkach clocked an impressive time of 4.93 seconds, defeating fellow Ukrainian Grygoriy Ilchishin, who finished at 4.97 seconds and claimed the silver medal.
