WTA Ranking Update: New Milestones for Ukrainian Tennis Players

On Monday, June 9, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) announced its updated rankings.

Elina Svitolina, the top-ranked player from Ukraine, has risen to the 13th position following her quarterfinal appearance at Roland Garros. The Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, finalist of the French Open, continues to lead the rankings, with American Coco Gauff, the tournament champion, in second place.

Chinese player Zheng Qinwen climbed to her career-best fifth place, while Iga Swiatek from Poland dropped after failing to defend her title in Paris.

In the bottom of the top ten, Spain's Paula Badosa and American Emma Navarro swapped places.

French player Loïs Bouisson, a surprising semifinalist at Roland Garros, soared from 361st to 65th position.

Ukraine's second-ranked player, Marta Kostyuk, fell one spot to 26th after her first-round exit at the French Open.

Dayana Yastremska climbed three spots to reach 45th position.

Julia Starodubtseva made significant progress, rising 14 places to 67th, setting a new personal best.

Angelina Kalinina returned to the top 100, currently at 96th. Daria Snigur remains at 151st position.

Alexandra Oliynykova reached a career-high ranking of 202nd, while Anastasia Soboleva improved her standing to 244th after qualifying for Roland Garros.
