Ukraine's Victory in Euro Round of 16

Today, June 7, in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau, a match took place in the Round of 16 of the European Championship, where the teams of Ukraine and Latvia faced off.

Having won their group, the Ukrainians advanced to the playoffs against a team that finished third in their group, namely Latvia.

The "blue and yellow" had no issues with this opponent, nearly resolving all doubts in the first half when Dmytro Melnychuk scored a brace, and another goal was added by Maksym Zavhorodnyi.

The Latvians managed to pull one back at the end of the first half, but at the start of the second, Oleksandr Zdebskyi restored Ukraine's three-goal lead. This advantage held until the very end – 4:1 victory for Ukraine.
