The Ukrainian community in Canada had a unique opportunity to attend the exhibition «Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues» before its official opening.

At the event, representatives of the Ukrainian national team spoke with: Mykola Matviyenko, Heorhiy Sudakov, Roman Yaremchuk, and Ivan Kaliuzhnyi.

Exhibition on Ukrainian football in Toronto - what you need to know

The exhibition «Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues» has opened in Toronto, where visitors can view original football trophies, coaching notes by Valeriy Lobanovskyi, and learn about how Ukrainian football thrives during wartime.

This unique project with over 200 exhibits is presented outside of Ukraine for the first time to inform the global community about the development of Ukrainian football and its crucial role in Ukraine's struggle during the war.

The exhibition titled “Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues” will take place at Trident Centre in Toronto from June 5 to June 10 (from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM). Admission to the exhibition is free.

The exhibition is organized by the Ukrainian Football Association as part of the Canadian Shield tournament, which the Ukrainian national team will participate in.

Canadian Shield Tournament - important facts

The Canadian Shield tournament is a new international competition organized by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), SPORTFIVE, and MIB Sport Agency.

The tournament will feature four men's national teams: Canada, Ukraine, Côte d'Ivoire, and New Zealand.

The Canadian Shield matches are positioned as a preparation stage for teams ahead of the upcoming World Cup, part of which will be hosted in North America in 2026.
