Ukrainian players Issuf Sanon, Vyacheslav Bobrov, and Ilya Sidorov are champions of Latvia.

The Rīga VEF team defeated the other capital team, Ventspils, in the final series with a score of 3:1. The decisive match was won by the Ukrainians with a score of 93:91.

Sanon scored 25 points and provided 11 assists, while Bobrov also achieved a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sidorov contributed 3 points and 4 assists.

The MVP award of the final series went to the experienced captain of VEF, Dairis Bertans.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first trophy for the Ukrainians this season. In February, VEF won the Latvian Cup, and in early April, they became champions of the Latvian-Estonian league.

The VEF basketball club was founded in 1958 but ceased operations in 1992. It was revived in 2007. During this time, the club has managed to become the national champion 12 times.
