The Ukraine national gymnastics team has made adjustments to its roster for the European Championship 2025 in Leipzig.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Sports.
2016 Olympic champion Oleg Vernyayev has now been included in the main team roster, having previously been on the reserve list.
Team Roster for the European Championship 2025

- Oleg Vernyayev
- Vladislav Gryko
- Stasis Butrimas
- Dmytro Prudko
- Yegor Perepyolkin
The European Championship in gymnastics is scheduled for May 26-31 in Leipzig, Germany.
It was reported on May 6 that the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine decided not to send Sartynskyi to the European Championship, where Ukrainian gymnasts were supposed to compete.
However, the athletes expressed their outrage over this decision and announced a boycott, blaming Vice President Stella Zakharova for systematically undermining men’s gymnastics in Ukraine.
Sartynskyi believes he was sidelined from the European Championship due to his resistance to the Federation's influence. Previously, the UFG condemned the Ukrainian team’s plans to boycott the European Championship.
Zakharova, in an exclusive comment, stated who initiated the Ukrainian team's boycott, accusing Vernyayev of being the instigator.
