On April 21, the European Weightlifting Championship concluded in Chisinau, Moldova, showcasing impressive performances by the Ukrainian team.

The Ukrainian squad, consisting of 17 athletes, secured a total of 13 medals, including 1 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze.

Olga Ivzhenko emerged as the champion in the snatch category (up to 55 kg), also earning a bronze medal in the total.

Silver medalists included Svitlana Moskvyina (snatch, up to 64 kg), Dmytro Kondratiuk (clean and jerk, up to 81 kg), Iryna Dombrovska (snatch, up to 76 kg), Khrystyna Borodina (clean and jerk, over 87 kg), and Bohdan Hoza (snatch, up to 109 kg).

Bronze medals were claimed by Svitlana Moskvyina (total, up to 64 kg), Anastasiya Manievska (total, up to 87 kg), Bohdan Hoza (total, up to 109 kg), Valentina Kysil (snatch + total, over 87 kg), and Vladyslav Prylipko (snatch, up to 109 kg).
