A new project has opened in Kyiv, focused on the historical relics from the era of Rus, featuring coins, princely symbols, and other significant artifacts. The exhibition titled «Treasures of Ukraine. Symbols of Statehood» showcases the evolution of Ukrainian statehood from Prince Volodymyr to the present.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see unique artifacts such as the gold and silver coins of Volodymyr Svyatoslavich, along with the sensational Hordynitsky treasure which consists of 35 coins minted during the reigns of key princes.
Among the notable exhibits is a fragment of a tile with a trident and a battle axe, which reflect the material culture and historical authority of the princely era.
According to researchers, these items provide significant evidence of the development of statehood and the transition to Christianity, as well as symbols of political and economic ties.
The exhibition has gathered representatives from cultural institutions, researchers, and everyone interested in Ukraine's history.
Elena Zemlyana, the museum's director, emphasized the importance of making the collection accessible to the public, allowing everyone to grasp the historical continuity.
