Ukrainian military veterans Taras Prots (KRAKEN special unit) and Serhii Shykun (Active Actions Department of GUR) have shown remarkable endurance by participating in the Spartan Ultra World Championship held in the scenic town of Morzine in the French Alps. They completed 52 kilometers of mountainous terrain on prosthetics, facing over 60 obstacles and a vertical gain of more than 2,800 meters. The challenge took them 9.5 hours to complete. Both fighters have combat injuries and amputations, yet they continue to actively serve Ukraine, embodying the unbreakable spirit of Ukrainian warriors.

“The experience was incredible. We feel exhausted, but we never considered dropping out. We have a mission, and we must achieve it,” Taras Prots shares.

“It was quite a challenge, but we overcame it, and that’s amazing. It’s all about character, the will to live, and the determination to remain unyielding. First for ourselves, and then for others,” Serhii Shykun explains his motivation.

The participation of GUR veterans in the Spartan Ultra World Championship is part of a campaign to raise 1 million UAH for the Limitless project, aimed at rehabilitating veterans of GUR who have lost limbs due to injuries.
