To ensure that government services are fast, transparent, and user-friendly, Ukraine needs not only innovative solutions but also reliable partners. The European Union has announced a funding of 10 million euros for the modernization of digital services in Ukraine and their integration with European standards.

«Collaboration with the European Union and the Academy of E-Governance has laid the groundwork for our digital resilience. Together, we have implemented numerous vital projects, including the development of the Trembita system and launching user-friendly government services through the Diia app. Our current priority is not just digitalization, but a full synchronization with the EU's digital space. The new funding will enable us to introduce Trembita 2.0 and adapt data management to European standards. We are confidently moving towards our strategic goal of integrating Ukraine into the EU's Single Digital Market,» said Oleksandr Borynkov, Acting Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Where the funds will be allocated:

• Cross-border services. Supporting Ukraine's access to the single market of goods and services with EU countries.
• Trembita 2.0. Updating the system that facilitates communication between registries, speeding up the work of government agencies.
• Data control. Launching a system that shows when officials accessed your personal data.
• Development of Administrative Service Centers. Updating the «Vulyk» system to connect more centers and improve their operations.
• European standards. Implementing new data management regulations as practiced in the EU.
• Training specialists. Supporting the Center for Digital Competences, which trains experts in e-services.

«Even in the conditions of a full-scale war, Ukraine continues to develop its digital state and move towards digital Euro-integration. The European Union supports these efforts by investing in solutions that strengthen institutional resilience and help create fast, secure, and modern government services for millions of Ukrainians,» noted Asier Santillan, Head of the «European Integration, Governance and Rule of Law, Civil Society» section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

The partnership with the European Union in the digital transformation of Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly a decade. During this time, joint investments have exceeded 80 million euros, laying the foundation for services and systems that have become commonplace for millions of Ukrainians.

The project is implemented by the Academy of E-Governance (Estonia).
