In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine introduced over 1300 new domestic weapons and military technology models, marking a 25% increase compared to last year. This was reported by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal on social media.

According to him, the largest share consists of:

  • drone systems – over 550 units,
  • various munitions – more than 270 units,
  • automotive technology – over 50 units,
  • armored vehicles – 11 units (including specialized armored vehicles),
  • firearms – 13 units.

“This is the result of the systematic work of Ukrainian manufacturers, who are not only scaling up production but also creating new technological solutions for the front,” Shmyhal noted.
He emphasized that the development of the domestic defense industry is a strategic priority, and local innovations and modern technologies are one of the key foundations of the resilience of the Ukrainian military.
In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allocated over 6 billion dollars to the domestic defense industry.
