The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a new digital platform called "Financial Oversight", which is based on SAP technology used by NATO armies. Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal reported this.
"From now on, we are able to manage budget expenditures effectively thanks to the "Financial Oversight" system. All information regarding funding for the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces is now centralized and always up-to-date", he explained.
According to the minister, the system enables the General Staff, command, and military units to check online daily how much funding has been allocated, spent, and remains.
"No more waiting for quarterly reports; everything is transparent and timely. This allows for effective financial management: quickly identifying delays and inefficiencies. Over 60% of organizations are already integrated into this system", he added.
The minister emphasized that the "Financial Oversight" system is built on SAP technology, which is a standard for most NATO armies.
"We are creating a modern foundation for managing defense resources, and "Financial Oversight" is its key financial component. We are continuing our digital transformation, which strengthens our military", Shmyhal concluded.
