Every year on November 30, Ukraine honors the Radio Technical Troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This holiday was officially established on September 16, 2010, by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Yezhel, recognizing the importance of radio technical troops and the need to enhance the prestige of military service.
The Radio Technical Troops are essential in providing information about the aerial situation, responsible for conducting reconnaissance of air objects and timely notifying the military.

In his statement, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, emphasized that thanks to the Radio Technical Troops, Ukrainians receive timely warnings about aerial threats.
“On November 30, we celebrate the professional holiday of the Radio Technical Troops, who ensure early detection of aerial threats and the transmission of information for air defense response,” Syrskyi stated.
According to him, it is the military personnel of the Radio Technical Troops that citizens owe their timely warnings about air dangers.
“Dear radio technicians! Your work is often unnoticed by many, yet it is well understood by those making decisions and carrying out combat tasks,” Syrskyi stressed.
He noted that in the early hours of Russia's full-scale invasion, the RTV servicemen managed to evade enemy strikes, preserving command systems and providing the Air Forces with necessary information. Thanks to them, the air defense forces and Ukrainian aviation effectively completed their missions.
“I sincerely congratulate the RTV servicemen on their professional holiday. I wish you good health, reliable equipment, and peaceful skies. I express my gratitude for your tireless work for the benefit of the Ukrainian people. We remember our brothers and sisters who lost their lives at the hands of brutal Russian occupiers while on duty and performing combat tasks,” Syrskyi added.
