A new digital platform named "Obriy" is about to launch in Ukraine, aimed at assisting unemployed individuals in their job search and providing necessary support. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the government has already approved the rollout of this initiative. Svyrydenko explained that the new system will operate through the “Diia” application.

Ukrainians will be able to:

  • register their unemployed status;
  • apply for assistance;
  • officially resign from jobs in temporarily occupied territories;
  • receive a grant of up to 15,000 hryvnias for retraining.

The system will utilize artificial intelligence to identify individuals who have lost their jobs and match them with job vacancies based on their skills, experience, and location.
Real-time data will assist the government and businesses in forecasting the demand for specialists. The State Employment Service will act as the administrator of the new system, and all key state institutions will be engaged in the process.
Svyrydenko also noted that if a person does not find a job within 60 days after being laid off, career advisors from the employment service will offer them vacancies, training opportunities, retraining programs, or grants even before they officially attain unemployed status.
