On October 19, a free medical event for women will be held in Shevchenko Park in Kyiv, organized by the medical volunteers of FRIDA Ukraine in collaboration with the DILA medical laboratory.
In a specially equipped Mobile Clinic, women will have the opportunity to consult with a mammologist and gynecologist, undergo breast ultrasound, pelvic ultrasound, and a PAP test using liquid cytology. Experienced volunteer doctors from FRIDA will conduct all examinations.
The Health Day takes place just before October 20 — the National Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and October is traditionally dedicated to raising awareness about this issue.
“The event aims to encourage women to have regular check-ups and take care of their health. During the event, the FRIDA team will also distribute informational materials about early breast cancer detection and important aspects of women's health care. Your attention to your body can save YOUR life,” say the organizers.
FRIDA Ukraine is a medical volunteer mission uniting over 1100 doctors from across the country and around the world. They operate in frontline regions, deploying field clinics to provide free medical services to those affected by the conflict and occupation.
