The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the American corporation Bell Textron Inc have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for industrial cooperation in aviation technologies. The memorandum was signed in Washington during the AUSA 2025 international exhibition, as reported by the Ministry's press service.
During the exhibition, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindratyev and Bell's Executive Vice President for Strategic Goals Jeffrey Schlosser signed the memorandum on industrial cooperation in the aviation sector.
According to the document, Ukraine plans to establish production and service capabilities for high-tech engineering.
This partnership aims to revive Ukraine's national helicopter industry, with Bell Textron Inc ready to develop its own manufacturing base in Ukraine for assembly, maintenance, and repair of helicopters.
The company will open a Bell representative office in Ukraine, create an assembly and testing center, explore opportunities for joint ventures with Ukrainian partners, and provide technology transfer and training for Ukrainian engineers and technicians in the USA.
Implementing these steps will lay the foundation for launching licensed helicopter production in Ukraine and creating new industrial capabilities in aviation.
"For Ukraine, this Memorandum is a step towards developing modern high-tech manufacturing, expanding industrial capabilities, and attracting investment in strategic sectors. We aspire for Ukraine to become part of global production chains and innovative partnerships," Kindratyev noted.
The American helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter is considering investing in production in Ukraine.
