The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has revised the dates for the heating season, limiting its duration from November 1 to March 31. The relevant resolution was published on the government’s official website.
According to the amendments to the CMU resolution dated July 19, 2022, No. 812, «On the Approval of the Regulation on Imposing Special Obligations on Natural Gas Market Entities to Ensure Public Interests in the Functioning of the Natural Gas Market Regarding the Peculiarities of Natural Gas Supply to Heat Energy Producers and Budgetary Institutions», the heating season in Ukraine for the 2025-2026 period will officially last from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, inclusive.
Previously, the heating season in Ukraine began on October 15 and lasted until April 15, with local authorities having the option to decide on its extension or early termination based on weather conditions, although the state guaranteed stable gas supplies during this time.
