Ukrainians will soon be able to find out who and for what purpose is accessing their information in government registries.

This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

"We will soon launch notifications in the Diia app, allowing you to see who accessed your data in the registries and why. The government has approved a resolution to implement a new data access monitoring system in Trembita", – the statement reads.

If your data is checked in the registries, you will receive a notification about it in Diia. Each instance of access will be recorded in the system.

For instance, if a government agency needs your information to provide a service, an employee will make a request in the registry. After that, you will receive a notification in Diia with all the details regarding the request.

However, notifications regarding data access will not be sent in cases related to criminal investigations, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism, or pre-trial investigations.

"A similar service is already operational in Estonia — Data Tracker", – the ministry added.
