Ukraine is initiating a new phase in the certification of mine action operators through the "Diia" platform. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"Now, almost all stages of the process can be completed online, starting from the application submission for certification to the appeal process. The only part that will remain offline is the on-site inspection," Svyrydenko noted.
Separate offices will be provided for operators and certification bodies, facilitating the exchange of documents and comments.
Each stage of certification will have clearly defined timelines, with the minimum certification period set at one month.
Currently, there are 125 registered operators in Ukraine, the majority of whom are Ukrainian, with only 8 being foreign.
"Accelerating and expanding the demining process is among the government's key priorities, as Ukraine is currently one of the most mined countries in the world," Svyrydenko emphasized.
