You can apply for basic social assistance online via the «Diia» platform.
This was announced in Telegram by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
She emphasized that it is crucial for the government to ensure that every Ukrainian family can receive state support quickly and without unnecessary bureaucracy.
«We are changing our approach: instead of five different types of assistance, we are introducing basic social assistance. This will simplify the process of obtaining support for families in difficult life situations, including low-income families, single mothers, and children whose parents evade alimony payments,» Svyrydenko noted.
You can apply for this assistance online through «Diia». «It’s very straightforward: just a few steps in the app — and you will receive a calculation of your monthly payment. If it suits you, submit your application. No need to waste time gathering paper documents,» the Prime Minister emphasized.
Svyrydenko noted that the amount of assistance is calculated individually. The sum is linked to the minimum income level required per person in a family, which currently stands at 4,500 UAH.
This pilot project is designed for two years. The government is also working to make it a permanent program. «We have already submitted the relevant bill to parliament,» the Prime Minister stated and expressed gratitude to international partners who help make social services more accessible.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill proposing to transform state social assistance for low-income families into basic social assistance starting January 1, 2026, and to consolidate various types of state aid.
