A new memorial dedicated to Ukrainian tankers has been unveiled in Kyiv, located on the Alley of Defenders of Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
«The memorial features the imprint of a tank breaking through enemy lines. The base is made of dark-toned brass with engraving filled with black paint,» the statement reads.
This is the eleventh tile on the Alley, honoring those whose contributions made many military operations possible.
The event was attended by: Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yevhen Moysiuk, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov, Acting Commander of Training - Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces Leonid Khoda, and other representatives from the military and local authorities.
