New Opportunities for Students of the Faculty of Eastern Languages

Soon, the first students of the Faculty of Eastern Languages will begin their studies under the dual degree program.

Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University is actively developing partnerships with higher education institutions in Japan.

According to the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration, on September 4 in Budapest (Hungary), Acting Rector Oleksandr Turuntsev and President of the Japanese University of Economics Asuka Tsuzuki signed an agreement on dual degrees.

During this meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed, which opens new opportunities for student exchange and expanding academic mobility.

The program will be available to both undergraduate and graduate students, significantly enhancing their opportunities for studying abroad. Starting from 2026, the number of participants in the program will increase to five.

With the support of Asuka Tsuzuki, students will also have the chance to intern at Japanese companies involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will further their professional development.

From September 16, 2025, to January 6, 2026, the Japanese University of Economics and Borys Grinchenko University will implement a course titled “Ukrainian-Japanese Intercultural Communication in the Workplace” as part of the COIL program.

This course will provide students with the opportunity to communicate with Japanese peers, enhancing intercultural dialogue and international collaboration skills.

It is worth noting that Borys Grinchenko University ranks 10th among 72 higher educational institutions in Kyiv.
