The overpass, which was put into operation in 1989, now requires significant repairs due to accumulated defects.

The municipal corporation «Kyivavtodor» has announced a tender for the major renovation of overpass No. 1 located at the intersection of the continuous traffic route and Strategic Highway in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital. This was reported by the corporation.

The project involves replacing bridge deck structures, repairing span elements and supports, reorganizing communication networks, installing new railings, and upgrading lighting. Additionally, plans are in place to renovate the approaches to the overpass with the inclusion of bike paths and to improve the surrounding area after construction is completed.

At «Kyivavtodor», they emphasize that the major renovation will be carried out with the principles of accessibility in mind for the unhindered access of persons with disabilities and limited mobility groups. Specifically, it includes lowering curbs and establishing tactile navigation.

It is reminded that this overpass was commissioned in 1989 and now requires a major renovation to enhance its capacity and improve the traffic conditions for vehicles and pedestrians in the Holosiivskyi district.

The submission of proposals will continue until 19:00 on September 26, 2025.
