A new exhibition titled "The Will of the Free Cannot Be Broken" has opened at Contract Square in Kyiv, focusing on heroic moments in Ukraine's battle against its aggressor.

This exhibition has already traveled to various Ukrainian cities, including Lviv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia. It highlights the cities that have endured the fiercest blows during the conflict, turning them into symbols of resilience. The display underscores the unity of Ukrainians and their bravery in defending their homes and homeland.

The initiative by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine aims to promote heroism through cultural projects. The ‘Unbreakable Spirit’ exhibition is located in a bustling area, allowing many Kyiv residents to connect with these significant historical moments.

The stories of heroic actions by cities and their inhabitants resonate with people, fostering community solidarity.

Vladimir Tiliщak, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory (UINP), noted that this exhibition was created two years ago, but its importance remains relevant today.

“These events have become part of our history, yet continue to inspire us in our fight against the aggressor,” added Tiliщak.

The exhibition focuses on the defense of ten Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv, which have become symbols of steadfastness. These cities were the first to receive the title of ‘Hero City of Ukraine’.

Alexander Alfiorov, Head of UINP, emphasized that this exhibition offers Ukrainians a chance to learn the truth about their struggle for independence.

Residents of many cities have actively resisted the enemy, showcasing incredible heroism.

“It is crucial to communicate the truth about the war to the global community,” highlighted Oleksiy Serhiyenko, Deputy Head of the Humanitarian Support Department of the Ministry of Defense.

Ukrainian youth also play a vital role in defending independence.

For 1275 days, Ukraine has been defending its freedom against aggression.

“The exhibition illustrates the cost of freedom,” stated Captain Ihor Shvaika.

The exhibition also provides an opportunity for military recruits to learn about Ukrainian heroism. It demonstrates how ordinary people become heroes in difficult times.

“This exhibition is important for educating youth about our historical events,” noted school principal Yulia Pashulia.

Historical exhibitions remain popular in Ukraine and Europe, delivering objective information about the struggle of Ukrainians.
