On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will head to the United States for discussions with President Donald Trump on important matters.

As reported via Telegram, Zelensky has already spoken with Trump and European leaders following their talks in Alaska.

He mentioned, "We had a lengthy and substantive conversation lasting over an hour and a half, with approximately an hour spent discussing with President Trump. He informed me about his discussions with the Russian leader and the main points of conversation."

Zelensky reaffirmed his support for Trump's proposal regarding a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia.

"We believe that key issues can be discussed at the leadership level, and the trilateral format is optimal for this. I plan to discuss all details with Trump in Washington on Monday. Thank you for the invitation!" he wrote.

He emphasized the importance of involving European partners at all stages of the process and mentioned "positive signals" from the American side regarding security guarantees for Ukraine.

Recall that after the Alaska meeting, Trump claimed he had reached preliminary agreements with Putin regarding territorial exchanges that "Zelensky must accept."

Trump also announced new negotiations with the Kremlin leader and stated he would participate in a meeting between Zelensky and Putin if it occurs.

Correspondents from The Economist learned from their sources that a preliminary agreement for a temporary "air" ceasefire was allegedly reached in Alaska, although no official statements were made regarding this.
