During a domestic conflict, a woman stabbed a man approximately seven times, resulting in his immediate death. The offender faces up to fifteen years in prison.
The Kyiv police received a report of a murder in one of the buildings in the Dnipro district. A patrol crew, investigative team, and forensic expert promptly arrived at the scene.
In the apartment, law enforcement found the body of a 34-year-old man with signs of violent death. Police established that during the consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict erupted between the cohabitants, leading the woman to grab a kitchen knife and stab the man around seven times in the back and chest.
The 38-year-old attacker was apprehended at the scene under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators confiscated the likely weapon used in the crime and informed the woman of the suspicion under part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional murder. The penalty for this article provides for up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
