The GUR MO of Ukraine has obtained fresh evidence regarding the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russian forces from temporarily occupied territories. As part of a large-scale cyber operation, intelligence officers accessed the servers of the so-called "Crimean government".
These servers contained documentation confirming the forced relocation of children from the occupied regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
Specifically, GUR specialists accessed thousands of lists of abducted children, profiles of unaccompanied minors, and illegal decisions appointing new guardians for orphans among Russian citizens, along with addresses of new residences for the abducted Ukrainian children.
“We have gathered thousands of files containing invaluable information regarding one of the greatest war crimes committed by Russia — the abduction of Ukrainian children. This information has already been submitted to law enforcement for analysis and inclusion in criminal proceedings. The data gathered will aid in locating and returning the abducted children, as well as holding accountable those responsible for these crimes,” stated GUR MO representative Andriy Yusov.
The GUR MO of Ukraine emphasizes that every crime against the Ukrainian people will face appropriate retribution.
