The «Kyiv Digital» app has concluded a survey regarding the transportation of dogs in the metro.

The survey lasted two weeks, and here are the main indicators.

When asked if they own a dog, 45% answered yes (25% — small dogs, 14% — large dogs, 6% — multiple dogs), while 55% stated they do not have dogs.

Regarding whether they support the initiative to allow dogs on the metro, 61% expressed full support, 5% supported only small dogs in carriers, 26% supported it if clear safety and cleanliness rules were established, while 7% were categorically against dog transportation in the metro, and 1% chose other options.

Participants were also asked what could help ensure comfortable and safe dog transportation in the metro. 36% said mandatory muzzles for large dogs, 35% suggested transporting dogs on short leashes or in special bags, 17% advocated for designated areas in carriages for passengers with dogs, 10% proposed allowing one passenger to transport only one dog, and 3% had other suggestions.

A total of 101.9 thousand users participated in the «Kyiv Digital» app survey.
