Forecast for Oilseed Production in Ukraine for 2025/26

The total oilseed production in Ukraine for the 2025/26 marketing year is projected to reach 22.6 million tons.

This forecast was presented by Stepan Kapshuk, the director general of the "Ukroilprom" association, according to the APK-Inform agency.

He noted that more than half of this volume will come from sunflower seeds, totaling 13.1 million tons. The rapeseed harvest is expected to be around 3.3 million tons, while soybean production is projected at 6.2 million tons.

According to the association's estimates, the total processing volume of these crops in the 2025/26 season will be 17.7 million tons: 13 million tons of sunflower, 3.1 million tons of soybeans, and 1.6 million tons of rapeseed.

The total export of oilseeds for the season is anticipated to be 4.9 million tons, with 3 million tons of that being soybeans. Additionally, up to 1.7 million tons of rapeseed and about 200,000 tons of sunflower seeds may be exported.

Regarding oil production estimates, the total volume in the 2025/26 marketing year is expected to be around 7.1 million tons, with sunflower oil making up 5.8 million tons. The production of rapeseed oil and soybean oil is projected to be 680,000 tons and 620,000 tons, respectively, Kapshuk added.
