An impressive mural — a bright, colorful narrative celebrating unity, hope, and community strength.
This project was brought to life by twenty teenagers from the Dimer community during the Dive in ESTEAM camp.
They conceptualized the mural and then collaborated with artists from the international art collective Artolution to bring it to life.
Mentors Darija Prokopchuk and Kata Rudakova guided them in developing their ideas, preparing sketches, and ultimately painting a large image on the wall of one of their community buildings.
This mural is not just a piece of art; it serves as a form of therapy. Teenagers who have experienced loss, displacement, or exclusion were given the opportunity to share their stories through colors, symbols, and art.
Thanks to Snap's support, the mural comes alive. Scan the QR code in the bottom corner of the image using the Snapchat app, and witness the artwork transform into augmented reality. To see it in person, visit Fastova Street, 5 in Demydiv.
The mural's unveiling marked the culmination of a 12-day camp where creativity intersected with technology, and dreams met reality. There were excursions, delicious burgers, and career workshops. Most importantly, there was a realization that the future is a mix of creativity, technology, and the ability to see the world from a broader perspective.
The Dive in ESTEAM camp was a true explosion of inspiration. Here, teenagers were introduced to professions that are not yet present in school curricula but will surely be relevant in the future.
Together with Snap specialists, they created AR filters, experimented with cosmetics alongside the “Alliance of Beauty” team, and even wrote a fun song about beetles and hot dogs with creative director Ivan Tokar from Havas Village Ukraine, learning about how the creative industry operates: who brand managers are, how the most interesting scripts are written, and how analytical marketers influence our daily lives.
Engaging meetings, learning experiences, and mural creation — all of this was a collaborative effort by the GoGlobal foundation and its partners: Snap, the Dimer community, and the international art collective Artolution.
