Details: Duda was greeted at the Kyiv railway station by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Background: In early June, Duda informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he would visit Ukraine before the end of his presidential term.
Additionally, Duda held a meeting with his successor, Karol Nawrocki, where one of the topics discussed was Ukraine's membership in NATO.
The current Polish president expressed hope that Nawrocki, who had previously made anti-Ukrainian statements, would have a different perspective on Ukraine upon taking office.
