From July 1, the cost of cards for public transport payments in Kyiv will be revised. The regular "blue" card will now cost 96 UAH, while the student plastic card will be priced at 120 UAH.
This was announced by the Kyiv City State Administration.
"Over the past two years, production conditions and logistics costs have significantly changed. Therefore, the manufacturer is forced to adapt to the new economic situation and raise prices," the KMDA stated.
The price difference is explained by the production specifics: blue cards are mass-produced, while student cards are made individually, which increases their cost.
The administration also noted that previously purchased cards remain valid and can be topped up and used in transport. The cost of travel remains unchanged.
In addition to plastic cards, there is also an option to purchase a digital card.
