German partners were updated on the situation in Kyiv and thanked for their support.
The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, met with a delegation of the Bavarian Parliament led by its president, Ilse Aigner.
«I informed our German partners about the current situation in Kyiv, detailing how the city authorities are working to restore critical and social infrastructure damaged by enemy shelling, as well as residential buildings, and providing all necessary services to the citizens. I emphasized the critical need for increased support from our partners in Ukraine’s fight against the Russian aggressor,» Klitschko stated.
The Mayor also expressed his gratitude to the German friends for their comprehensive support and vital assistance to the capital.
Since the escalation of the war, Kyiv has received, among other things, a 20-ton humanitarian aid truck from Bavaria, 6 specialized vehicles (3 modern Renault ambulances, a Ford minibus, a Mercedes fire truck, and an Iveco vehicle). These vehicles are operational in the city’s public services.
Additionally, the capital received 11 BMW motorcycles, which were donated to the Kyiv Patrol Police.
