Safe Swimming at Kyiv's Beaches

image

It is safe to swim at the beaches of Kyiv.

Local health monitoring laboratories routinely check the water quality of recreational water bodies designated for swimming, reports the Public Health Center of Ukraine.

As of June 2, the water quality at the beaches meets the standards:

  • in the Dnipro district — at the beaches 'Venice', 'Rainbow', 'Children's', 'Golden', 'Youth', 'Suburban Slobidka', 'Central' on the Dnipro River and 'Telbin';
  • in the Desnyansky district — 'Troieshchyna' on the Desenka River and 'Chortoryi' in 'Muromets' park;
  • in the Obolon district — 'Pushcha-Vodytsia' at lines 5-7 and 'Obolon Island'.

It’s important to note that the swimming season in Kyiv has not been officially announced, but preparations are underway for the beaches and water bodies for the summer. The specialists from 'Plesso' are already working on landscaping, cleaning the water bodies, and ensuring sanitary conditions so that residents can safely enjoy their time by the water.
