From now on, Children's Day in Ukraine will be celebrated on November 20, in sync with World Children's Day.

This corresponds to decree No. 355/2025 “On Children's Day” signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, May 30.

The document outlines the following details.

When will Children's Day be celebrated?

“In order to affirm the protection of childhood as a national priority of Ukraine, and to enhance and unify the efforts of the international community aimed at protecting children's rights, I decree: to establish Children's Day in Ukraine to be celebrated annually on World Children's Day - November 20”, the decree states.

This decree also invalidates the previous Presidential Decree of Ukraine from May 30, 1998, No. 568/98 “On Children's Day”, under which Children's Day was celebrated annually on June 1.

The President's Office explained that this way, the President synchronized Ukraine's celebration of Children's Day with the World Children's Day, which also falls on November 20. This decision aims to enhance attention to children's rights and interests at both national and international levels.
