In the early hours of May 16, shots were fired in central Kyiv when police tried to stop a suspect's vehicle. The man, wanted by law enforcement, attempted to evade arrest and struck an officer.

The police confirmed that the driver of an Audi was stopped during the curfew. Upon checking his documents, they found he was wanted for an administrative offense.
