According to the latest reports from the IAEA, all three nuclear plants in territory controlled by Ukraine – Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and South Ukraine – are actively generating electricity, although some units are temporarily offline for maintenance.

It is noted that at the Khmelnytskyi NPP, one reactor is in standby mode for maintenance, while the electricity production of the second unit was reduced by 36 hours at the network operator's request earlier this week.

At the Rivne NPP, the second unit was also put into standby mode for maintenance, while electricity generation from the third unit was curtailed for several days at the operator's request.

The South Ukraine NPP has also experienced fluctuations in power output this week.

IAEA representatives reported that on April 17, seven drones were detected two kilometers east of the station, indicating the ongoing conflict.

Additionally, IAEA teams, particularly at the Chernobyl site and South Ukraine NPP, hear air raid alarms almost daily.

IAEA Director Rafael Grossi stated that experts working at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP were forced to stay home Wednesday morning due to loud gunfire near their office building.

Furthermore, the IAEA team continued to report explosions and gunfire from various distances from the plant almost every day over the past week.
