In 2025, the city of Kyiv plans to allocate 14 billion UAH for infrastructure development as part of the Economic and Social Development Program for 2024-2026. This decision was made by the deputies at a meeting of the Kyiv City Council.
According to the Department of Economics and Investments of the Kyiv City State Administration, 4 billion UAH will be directed towards capital investments, while 10 billion UAH will be used for major repairs.
Next year, these funds will specifically address the restoration of facilities damaged by military aggression, as well as updating the housing stock, including major repairs, modernization, and replacement of elevators, ensuring accessibility and energy efficiency, and establishing civil protection shelters.
Work will also continue on road network and transportation infrastructure projects.
Capital expenditures will be directed towards the reconstruction of critical infrastructure facilities, whose uninterrupted operation is important not only for the capital but also for the Kyiv region.
The priority for the coming year will remain the creation of safe conditions for students in educational institutions. The program includes the construction of shelters in schools and dual-purpose buildings.
Additionally, next year the city will continue to create and modernize social support and rehabilitation centers, as well as upgrade healthcare facilities.
