The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, announced successful negotiations with the International Monetary Fund regarding a new financial support program. She shared this information via social media.
 "The IMF mission led by Mr. Gavin Gray has concluded its work in Kyiv with positive outcomes," she emphasized.
 According to her, the total amount of the new program will be $8.2 billion over four years. This program aims to support critical expenditures, maintain macro-financial stability, and attract additional external assistance that is crucial for Ukraine in the coming years.
"This agreement still requires approval from the IMF Board of Directors," Svyrydenko added.
She also noted that the IMF has confirmed the resilience of the Ukrainian economy despite the hits to energy and infrastructure. "The economy continues to operate, and we demonstrate our ability to manage risks in challenging circumstances," the Prime Minister stated.
Additionally, the government has prepared the 2026 budget in line with the new IMF program framework, focusing on expenditure efficiency. "We hope for the support of Members of Parliament during the approval of the budget," she underscored.
Svyrydenko also highlighted the continuation of the country's reform agenda, which remains a priority: macroeconomic stability, transparency, and anti-corruption efforts. "We will continue to implement policies to improve governance in the public sector, including the reform of corporate governance in state-owned enterprises," she concluded.
