The state budget proposal for 2026 includes an increase in the minimum wage and living wage.
This is the first adjustment since 2024. These figures have seen a rise, as there was no review in 2025:
- minimum wage increased from 8000 UAH to 8647 UAH (an 8% rise);
- overall living wage rose from 2920 UAH to 3209 UAH (+9.9%);
- living wage for working individuals increased from 3028 UAH to 3328 UAH (+9.9%);
- living wage for individuals who are unable to work rose from 2361 UAH to 2595 UAH (+9.9%).
The last figure determines the minimum pension amount. The maximum pension amount in 2026 will be 25,950 UAH.
It is noteworthy that as of July 1, the average pension in Ukraine was 6,410.2 UAH. Compared to April 1, it increased by 1.1% (+69 UAH) and is 10.2% (+593.6 UAH) higher than the same period last year. In 2025, the government did not raise social standards due to significant budget expenditures, as reported by the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
