The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announces the launch of the information and communication system «Registry of Applications for Government Support in the Cultural Sector». This significant step is part of the digitization strategy aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency in the allocation of state resources for culture.
«We are working towards creating an understandable and effective distribution process for public funds. Everyone will be able to see which projects receive funding. The Registry will be a crucial tool for enhancing cooperation between the state and the cultural community,» said Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy, Minister of Culture, Tetiana Berezhna.
The Registry will serve as a single digital space containing information about applications for government support in the fields of culture and arts, the results of their assessments, as well as the beneficiaries of funding and their reporting.
This initiative is being implemented in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution dated November 1, 2024, which outlines the operational framework of the system.
The State Agency for Arts and Art Education is actively involved in the implementation of the registry.
Functional administration and the review of applications will be handled by the State Arts Agency, along with relevant departments of the Ministry of Culture.
The software for the registry has been developed with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the international charity organization «East Europe Foundation».
The pilot operation phase is essential for the final configuration of the system, involving testing and gathering feedback from initial users.
The Ministry of Culture invites all stakeholders to actively participate in using the registry.
